Update: I've purchased the game and my experience is in an answer below. Is sharing local ghosts something that can be done more easily on the switch, or is it using the same system as the Wii U?īonus question: when downloading "Online Ghosts", do you have different options besides the top 10 of all time and a few other people within milliseconds of you? This was a very simple task on the Wii, you could just access all the local ghosts. We tried everything, but in the end we only had access to a fraction of each other's ghosts, sporadically. We'd all friend/follow each other, change our private/public settings, post to miiverse and wait, ext, ext and it just wouldn't work consistently. However accessing each other's ghosts was very problematic.
On the Wii U, my friends and I would all run time trials on the same machine, under different profiles. I'm trying to assess whether the deluxe version has some functionality I've been really wanting. The table shows us when the previous DLC waves were released and when we expect to see Wave 5, and 6 moving forward.I don't currently have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, only the Wii U version. That means we have two waves left and it's likely Nintendo will follow a similar release schedule as the first 3 waves released in 2022. Nintendo has confirmed that all six waves of DLC will be out by the end of 2023. Typically, the waves of DLC come out every few months. Which characters are coming in Wave 5 & 6? Still, we imagine it will be returning characters such as Diddy Kong or other characters who might appear in the upcoming Mario Kart movie. There are no suggestions as to which characters could be added to the game. So it would suggest we'll see another 5 characters added to the game over the course of Wave 5 and Wave 6. However, as fans noticed, the Wave 4 Update also added five more mystery character slots to the character select screen.
