The selected disk has an MBR partition table. This successfully enters the Windows setup, but when I progress through all of the steps, at the step where I select which partition to install Windows on, it tells me that "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Next, I try to instead start up with the EFI option. It brings me back to my original problem with the black screen and the "no bootable device" message. The options are "Macintosh HD", "Windows", and "EFI".

So next I try to circumvent this issue by restarting, holding Alt/Option, and it brings up the boot order page. When the MBP restarts, it shows the normal white screen, and then it shows a black screen that says "No bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key". It installed the ISO image onto my Buffalo HDD 2TB and again on my Toshiba 500GB. I went through the Boot Camp assistant, and it all went smoothly. MBP mid '12, 512 HDD and 8 RAM on macOS Catalina and I try to install Windows 10 64bit through Boot Camp assistent. I've seen the problem in the discussions but the answers don't seem to help me. No bootable device - bootcamp Windows 10 Hello everyone, I am using the drives in a CalDigit Thunderbolt3 dock.It seems a bit odd for both the drives to have the same problem.the reason i am trying to get it on an external drive is two problems 1.it says no host Driver for Bluetooth the only thing that is not working as it should is the Trackpad. The main thing is no sound from the internal speakers but it shows the green sound-bar is working in them.I don,t understand whyĪll the drivers arn,t working as i have the latest bootcamp windows support? I closed Windows and took the drive that i wanted to put Windows on and the USB Flash drive out of the computer.Booted back to Mac then booted back to Windows and it said there was an errer it would not start i have a second drive with Windows on it and said the same thing?

The only drive that showed on Rufus was the flash drive i had another drive Ex fat Guid. I am trying to get Windows on external drive with Rufus i went on my external Windows with a flash drive with Windows 10 iso and Windows support.
